Board Member

Dr. J.R. Rucker currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at USC and Assistant Principal at Los Osos High School for the Chaffey Joint Unified School District.

 Born and raised in Pine Bluff Arkansas, he received his B.S. degree in Special Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a Master's degree in Special Education from National University and Doctorate degree from the University of Southern California

 

In his 22 years as an educator, in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties; he has also served as a head basketball coach, educational specialist, general education teacher, dean of students, athletic director, and activities director.  

 

Dr. J.R.  Rucker is an author and in 2011 created IE Preps Magazine. He resides in Fontana, CA, with his wife Lori, and three daughters, Grace, Glori, and Hope.

Shawn Cuttress

Board Member

Shawn Cuttress is a dedicated and experienced professional currently serving as an Assistant Agent, Maintenance and Operations for the Rialto Unified School District. With over 22 years of experience at Rialto Unified, Shawn has played a pivotal role in various new projects, preventative maintenance, and facility initiatives.
 

Shawn's extensive background in electrical work has been a cornerstone of his expertise, allowing him to excel in maintaining and improving infrastructure. His commitment to ensuring safe and efficient operations has made him a valuable asset to the Rialto Unified School District.
 

Outside of his professional endeavors, Shawn is passionate about spending quality time with his wife and three children. He enjoys attending his daughter's soccer games and golf classes, and he is a proud father of his Marine son. Shawn believes that his work not only supports the educational environment but also enhances the overall community experience. He is committed to giving back to the community and serving people in need.

Jesus Perez

Board Member

Jesus Perez serves as an Assistant Principal at Corona-Norco Unified School District, where he is dedicated to supporting students, families, and staff in creating positive and inclusive learning environments. Born and raised in Southern California, Jesus has spent the past 14 years serving students through a variety of educational roles, including Paraeducator supporting students in special education, Education Specialist, School Counselor, and Assistant Principal.
 

Throughout his career, Jesus has worked with several school districts, including Azusa Unified School District, Pomona Unified School District, Pasadena Unified School District, and Corona-Norco Unified School District. In addition to his work in education, he has also served as a coach for football, baseball, soccer, and golf, helping students grow both academically and personally.
 

Jesus earned an Associate’s degree from Citrus College, a Bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for K–12 schools at the University of Southern California.

Andrea Sams

Vice President

Andrea Sams is a proud mom of three from Murrieta, California, who loves balancing family life, career, and making the most out of every moment. She works as a Permit Coordinator for a signage company, where she helps keep projects on track by coordinating permits, working with cities and contractors, and making the process run smoothly from start to finish. Her upbeat personality, strong work ethic, and ability to stay organized under pressure make her a valued part of her team.
 

When she’s not working, Andrea is usually spending time with family and friends out at the river enjoying boating and sunny weekends on the water. Most of her free time is spent cheering on her kids at their sporting events, whether it’s football games, softball tournaments, or cheerleading competitions. Family, fun, and staying active are at the center of everything she does, and she’s always happiest when surrounded by the people she loves most.

Jason Albaugh grew up in Pomona, California, where he developed a deep appreciation for family, education, and community. A devoted husband and father of four, Jason has dedicated more than 25 years to shaping young lives as a high school teacher and coach.

Known for his leadership, mentorship, and passion for education, he has made a lasting impact both in the classroom and on the field. His commitment to helping students succeed continues to inspire the many young people and families he has served throughout his career.

Jamie Albaugh grew up in Orange County, California, where she developed a strong sense of community, service, and dedication to helping others. A devoted wife and mother of four, Jamie has balanced family life with a distinguished career in law enforcement spanning more than 25 years.

Throughout her career, she has earned respect for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to public safety.

Her passion for serving others and her unwavering work ethic continue to inspire those around her both personally and professionally.

Melissa Gandy

Secretary

After a successful career in the finance department of a consulting firm, Melissa retired with a strong foundation in financial operations, organization, and client-focused service. Throughout her career, she was known for her attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to supporting the success of her team and organization.
 

Today, Melissa enjoys spending her time pursuing the things she loves most. An avid nature enthusiast, she finds joy in birdwatching, gardening, and exploring the outdoors. She also enjoys traveling, playing games, and creating meaningful memories with her husband, son, family and friends.
 

Melissa values lifelong learning, meaningful connections, and appreciating the simple pleasures of everyday life. Her blend of professional experience and personal passions reflects a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to both work and life.
